The Effect of Social-Emotional Learning Program on Social-Emotional Skills, Academic Achievement and Classroom Climate

This research aimed to examine the effects of “You Can Do It! Education” and “Emotional Social Development” which are social-emotional learning programs, on fourth-grade students’ development skills, academic achievement, perceptions classroom climate in Turkey. A mixed methods design was used investigate effectiveness programs. Fourth-grade students were randomly assigned groups. Two classes YCDI! Education ESDP taught each week. Thus, program applied for 8 weeks experimental Besides, elementary teachers conducted their regular Turkish lessons control Reflective diaries kept observations made by researcher during experiment explain findings detail. The results indicate that You had a positive effect contrast Emotional Development Program. Findings will contribute students' national international contexts.
